A Time of Reflection its been a minute huh? But God is great and greatly to be praised. God has been tugging at me for some time now to get back into writing and you know us, in our fleshly and carnal mind I kept resisting the tug- BUT here we are now!
So much has happened since the last time I’ve written a post, as you know I was previously living in Indiana with my husband. We got pregnant and then he got a new job in North Carolina (which is actually home for us) and we moved back to Matthews, NC to a one bedroom apartment in April 2021. I gave birth to our son Tristan Louis Hargett on June 3, 2021 and in a few months our baby will be two! Wow, time has just been moving on by!
Fast forward to summer of 2022, Mitchell had a desire for us to get out of that one bedroom apartment and into a house where we could really focus on and grow our family, and because we really just needed more space! We started the process of looking for a home, we would either build new construction or find a pre-existing one. After much prayer and back and forth we decided on the new construction route. Through all of that we ended up building new construction in York, South Carolina! We started the building process in August and by the end of December 2022 we closed on our home and had the keys in hand to be moved on January 2, 2023. See what God did there?! A fresh and new start for our family, in a new place- God we thank you! Not to mention I started a new job at the top of the year too - WOAAAH!!!
So here we are, after quite a bit of tugging from the Holy Spirit and a few nudges from some people who really care about me and also myself (because I care too, lol.) Seriously though, I actually missed writing but I felt like God had to re-posture me to get here; and I am choosing to be obedient to the consistent, yet gentle tugs.
Before on my previous blog I had my posts separated by Personal Reflections and Spiritual Reflections, but now, they will be all in one place together. I decided that going forward I don’t want to define or confine them to two separate posts, so what y’all get is what y’all get haha! No, but seriously, I think this format will be more a better fit for what I believe the Holy Spirit is desiring for me in this next season.
I’m grateful though, and here’s to the next chapter of A Time of Reflection!
